Biography

Chen Huixing, Shanghai General Hospital, Department of Urology, Associate Chief Physician, MD.

Specializes in genital reconstructive surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of severe sexual dysfunction. Main clinical focus: penile lengthening surgery, penile girth augmentation surgery, penile curvature correction surgery, penile prosthesis implantation, and sleeve circumcision. Microsurgical treatment: varicocele and obstructive azoospermia; minimally invasive surgical treatment: high cryptorchidism, seminal tract reconstruction for vas deferens injury caused by hernia surgery, ejaculatory duct obstruction, complex urinary fistula, etc.

Works at the Department of Urology, Andrology, and Male Health Assessment Center of the Clinical Urology Center, Shanghai General Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Visiting Scholar at Cornell University, USA.

Research Direction: Transcriptomic sequencing of human male germ cells and studies on induced differentiation into sperm. In the past 5 years, has undertaken 1 General Program project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published 28 academic papers, including 13 SCI papers; holds 9 invention and utility model patents; participated in the compilation of 5 books and diagnostic and treatment consensus documents, and participated in the translation of 2 books; has won first prizes multiple times at national urology- and andrology-related conferences and speech competitions. In 2017, awarded the title of “Top Ten Talents” in Shanghai Andrology; in 2018, awarded the title of “Outstanding Committee Member” by the Andrology Branch of Shanghai Medical Association; in 2019, as a visiting scholar, studied and trained at the Department of Urology and the Center for Male Reproductive Microsurgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, and received the Research Fellowship certificate and the Cornell MIM Microsurgery Training certificate with excellent results.

Serves as Secretary-General of the Youth Committee of the Asian Andrology Association; Member of the Youth Group of the Andrology Branch of Shanghai Medical Association; Member of the Sexual Medicine Specialty Branch of Shanghai Reproductive Industry Association.
